Our Therapy Services
Physical, occupational, and speech therapists are a part of
our team to provide a variety of rehabilitation services that will enable
regaining independence as quickly as possible, in your own home.
Physical
Therapists (PT) are
licensed professionals who work under the direction of the physician to plan and carry
out a home exercise program. The physical therapist will work to
strengthen muscles, improve range of motion and flexibility, improve
circulation, improve gait, teach transfer techniques, provide specialized wound
care, and enable clients to better carry out activities of daily living.
Occupational
Therapists (OT)
are licensed professionals working under the direction of the physician to provide
assistance in regaining the ability to perform every day tasks after an injury
or illness. The OT will work to improve fine motor coordination, teach special
strengthening exercises, make special splints and adaptive/assistive equipment,
work on perceptual motor skills, and provide other special sensory testing and
treatment.
Speech
Therapists (ST) are certified professionals
that provide assistance with speech or communication problems. They
assist with swallowing or chewing difficulty, choking problems, drooling,
aphasia, any speech difficulty, and evaluation and treatment of
forgetfulness and poor orientation to person, time, and place. We
also offer at home Vital-Stim therapy with specially trained therapists.
